Delivery Driver

Job Description:

Serve as brand ambassador, providing excellent customer service while delivering customer orders to the home. Drive a company delivery vehicle showing safe, efficient driving behavior and following Kroger's driving standards. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a brand ambassador by providing excellent customer service during home deliveries.
• Drive a company delivery vehicle safely and efficiently, adhering to Kroger's driving standards.
• Discuss Kroger's Seamless Experience and delivery process with customers, maintaining professionalism.
• Ensure timely and proper delivery of customer orders, resolving any issues that arise.
• Maintain communication with customers during delivery, updating them on any changes or issues.
• Monitor and record temperatures to comply with food safety regulations.
• Handle products safely and report any issues to supervisors.
• Complete pre-inspections of the delivery vehicle and report any defects.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must pass an annual DOT regulated medical exam.
• Good driving record.
• Ability to operate a delivery van and handheld tablet device.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodation.
• Must be at least 21 years old (company policy).
• Chauffeur's license may be required in some states.

Desired Previous Job Experience/Education:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Any customer service experience.
• Previous delivery driver experience is beneficial.
